I got the chicken panang and the Thai tea here. The chicken panang was good and typical. The Thai tea was alright though. Wished there were boba in them.
A friend got their Filipino rolls which were very tasty. Definitely recommend those.
Overall cute restaurant. I will try the potato street food next time. -

Woof. I got the dumplings- which tasted like sauerkraut. Maybe they were rotten? I didn't even eat them all, just threw them out.
The lady working was less than thrilled I was there- I got a few "yeps" and "uhhuh"
Also four dumpling was $7. Rip off. -

mo:mo: is located at the entrance to the Pizitz Food Hall (closest to McWane Science Center). I was browsing around the Food Hall and mo:mo: caught my attention with the menu and also the friendly staff.
I ordered the Thai Lemongrass Chicken Bahn Mi ($7) - and it was a huge portion (around a foot-long sandwich or so). The sandwich tasted very fresh and I loved the flavors!
I also ordered the 5 piece turkey MoMos (dumplings) -$7 and they were out of this world! It's probably some of the best dumplings I've ever had. Each dumpling was a large portion - and was doused in a tomato vinaigrette.
If you're in Downtown Birmingham and are looking for great Vietnamese food - give mo:mo: a shot! -

We were eating at the Pizitz Food Hall and I decided that I would have part of my dinner from mo:mo:. I opted for the Nepalese turkey dumplings. They are steamed dumplings with turkey, vegetables, and an Alabama tomato vinaigrette. Wow. They were absolutely delicious! The tang of the vinegar was perfect and the filling was great. I love dumplings and these were really good.
The staff was friendly and my food was up fast. They are a tad bit pricey, but they have company in that department in this food hall, as every food option down here was overpriced somewhat. I can't hold that against them, since they aren't alone. When I return to Pizitz, mo:mo: will most definitely be a repeat, as will those dumplings. No negatives here. -

I chose Mo:Mo: on my Saturday visit to the Pizitz. It was great, and I recommend that you Go:Go. Chef Abhi brings a bold variety of regional Asian dishes to the heart of Alabama. On this visit I ordered the Momo dumplings and Chicken Bulgogi.
The Momo dumplings are Nepalese steamed dumplings with turkey filling. The dumplings are amazing. The handmade wrappers are more delicate that traditional Chinese dumpling wrappers. They are thin and tender, and the ground turkey filling had a familiar texture. The light sauce is full of flavor and knocked this dish out of the park. It had a sweet and slight vinegary flavor that reminded me of Vietnamese nuoc mam. Five stars for the dumplings.
The Chicken Bulgogi is a special that was recently added to the menu. The marinate was spot on, and tasted authentic enough. It is served on a generous portion of rice that was very good. The rice was similar to sushi rice only not quite as sticky. The dish is served with a small mixed green salad that was fine, but I think it should have been a side of kimchi. That would have make this dish outstanding. Four stars for the Chicken Bulgogi.
